After the II LAZEN Meeting, the recently elected LAZEN board has decided to open a new way of becoming member of the Network, directed to individual researchers/graduate students not residing in Latin America. This new figure, called "LAZEN Associate Researcher" aims to expand the benefits of the Network to researchers who are not currently part of any Latin American lab (hence cannot be full members), but want to remain in contact with the regional zebrafish community and eventually participate in LAZEN activities.

In order to apply, individual researchers must send an email to with the subject "Associate Researcher", attaching a letter of intention stating reasons for interest, and a short CV. As a requisite, applicants must be either graduate students or researchers working at an academic institution located outside Latin America.
